I’m a massive fan of a good eyeshadow palette. Gone are the days of just filling in my entire eyelid with black kohl liner – I promise you this was a LOOK in 2007 – I’m older, somewhat wiser, and armed with a more varied collection that I’ve built up over the past few years. But this isn’t to say I’m not always on the lookout for more, and when I do add to my collection, I’m generally looking for these four things: pigmentation, blendability, variety of shades and value for money. I love a red lip. It’s classic and classy, it goes with everything, it glams up any look, and it suits pretty much everyone. However, it’s not low maintenance. In fact it’s usually a fucking pain in the arse. I have a question I need to put out into the universe: has Superdrug always been this good for make up? Have I just been sleeping on this? A branch opened about a year ago 10 minutes away from my house, and it’s just got such an incredible range. Superdrug is perfect for a drugstore haul –…

I am going to be alone this Valentine’s Day. I have a deadline in Cambridge, my boyfriend will be working in London, we’re both skint, it’s just not gonna happen. But is that gonna stop me from serving Valentine’s glam? Absolutely not. I put this look together to try out a new matte liquid red I picked up at a vegan fair this weekend, and while I’m underwhelmed by it (I’ll come to why later), I think the overall look is ideal for a date night. Plus this is an excellent opportunity for me to discuss Fenty, my love, my…

For the past few months, I’ve been bombarded with Glossier ads on social media. Branded as low-key, low-maintenance, your-skin-but-better barely there make up, I must admit that at first I was unconvinced. One of my favourite things about make up is the ritual and skill in application, from wetting my beauty blender to brushing off my bake, or setting a cream contour with a powder contour, those steps that you could make do without but just add that tiny bit extra as you pretend to be a beauty vlogger in front of your mirror. (Hi guys welcome back to my channel!) So…
